A redesigned cap nut to fix an OEM problem.
This cap nut is designed from the aesthetics of the original E36 Motorsport strut bar nut. Expanding the use to other bars, chassis and solves an M3 GT / Lightweight problem of dented hoods from hitting the taller stock cap nut.
Made from 316 Stainless Steel and treated with a Black Oxide finish. Sold in a set of 6.
Adhere to stock torque spec: 25Nm (18 ft lbs)
E46 M3 Strut Bar Use: PnP with factory length strut mount studs. Excessively long studs must be shortened to use any cap nut design.
Dinan Strut Bar Use: You must widen the holes to 10.2mm to use these cap nuts. It's a very simple drilling process for a polished look in the end.
Other Strut Bar Use: Ensure end plate thickness is greater than 4.2mm as the centering shaft of the cap nut is 4mm long. Failure to ignore this will result in a strut brace end plate that is not properly torqued down.
